Apparition Off-Broadway, LLC will present Anne Washburn's play Apparition, directed by Les Waters. Perfrmances begin off-Broadway at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street, NYC) on Sunday, November 28, 2005 for a limited six-week engagement through January 7, 2006. Opening Night is set for Sunday, December 4 at 7 p.m.

Apparition stars Maria Dizzia, Emily Donahoe, David Andrew McMahon, Garrett Neergaard and T. Ryder Smith.

"Did you ever have the feeling that there is something right behind you? There's a chill on your neck…a floor creaks in the next room…something catches your eye. From award-winning director Les Waters and playwright Anne Washburn comes Apparition: an uneasy play of the underknown. Combining whispers of dread, slivers of Macbeth, dining demons, and a murder that may or may not have happened, Apparition is about the feeling that something is coming to get you, and there is nowhere to hide," state press notes.

The show features scenic design by Andromache Chalfant (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot); costume design by Christal Weatherly (The Scottish Play, La Jolla); lighting design by Jane Cox (Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance) and sound design by Darron L West (Anne Bogart's SITI Company).   Apparition was originally staged at Chashama 125 Theatre (New York) in November, 2003.

Tickets are on sale now and are $35-$50; they are available by calling TheaterMania at 212-352-3101, or visiting www.TheaterMania.com.
