Anna Deavere Smith to Host NYU Tisch's 2015 Gala, Honoring Michael C. Hall and More

The NYU Tisch School of the Arts annual gala honoring Michael C. Hall, Steven Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman, with a special tribute to Mel Silverman, will be held on Monday, May 4, at the Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall.

The evening will be hosted by Anna Deavere Smith and feature special presenters Tyne Daly, and Winnie Holzman. The gala performance, directed by Bill Castellino, will celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Tisch students, both past and present. Proceeds from the gala will support the education of talented young artists from around the world.

The annual Tisch School of the Arts Gala showcases the depth and breadth of the arts school's program offerings, which include acting, dance, cinema studies, design for stage and film, dramatic writing, film and television, game design, interactive telecommunications, moving image archiving and preservation, musical theatre writing, performance studies, photography, public policy and recorded music.

In addition to Hall, Lutvak and Freedman, thousands of Tisch alumni have gone on to enjoy fulfilling careers in the arts.
