Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts to Host World Premiere of THE FOUR SEASONS, 7/5

By: Jun. 18, 2013

The Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts will host the world premiere of THE FOUR SEASONS, an electric experience by award-winning playwright Charles Mee that depicts the beauty and struggle within the patterns people encounter each and every day on Friday, July 5th, for three performances at 5PM, 7:30PM and 10PM, at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts, 172 Norfolk Street, Manhattan. Tickets start at $15.

Under the direction of Jacob W. Patorti, Artistic Director of The Merchants Hall STAGE Series, and the visionary work of the creative team, THE FOUR SEASONS' ensemble never stops moving, weaving in and out of life, love, death, the changing of seasons, chance encounters, and numerous cups of coffee. The cast, made up of over 120 performers including 45 singers, ranging from opera to folk to jazz to indie, 13 speaking roles, 35 ancestor figures, 20 dancers and 15 instrumentalists, will come together to create one mind-tingling dance-theatre piece.

Charles Mee has been the recipient of a lifetime achievement award in drama from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, two OBIE Awards, PEN/Laura Pels Foundation Award for Drama for a playwright in mid-career, and the Fisher Award given by the Brooklyn Academy Of Music.
