14-time Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter and STICK FLY producer Alicia Keys will compose original music for the Broadway premiere of the critically-acclaimed American play by Lydia R. Diamond and directed by Kenny Leon. STICK FLY will open on Broadway on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street). Performances begin Friday, November 18, 2011. Tickets are now on sale through Telecharge.com.

"As someone who walked up and down this boulevard as a young girl, I cannot describe the thrill of having the opportunity of composing songs for a Broadway show," said Alicia Keys. "It's honestly been a dream come true. I love the humor and humanity of Stick Fly, and I'm so excited to be a part of the emotional journey this show will take audiences on."

The gifted ensemble cast features Emmy Award nominee Dulé Hill ("Psych," "The West Wing") as Kent "Spoon" Levay, Mekhi Phifer ("ER," 8 Mile) as Flip Levay, Tracie Thoms ("Cold Case," Rent) as Taylor, Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Seven Guitars, Lackawanna Blues) as Joe Levay, Rosie Benton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Accent on Youth) as Kimber and Condola Rashad (Ruined) as Cheryl.

Meet the LeVays, a well-to-do family who have come together over an August weekend at their Martha's Vineyard home. The delicate balance of the family is completely upset when the two adult sons independently choose to introduce their girlfriends to the parents. Sibling rivalries flare, class distinctions surface, and family secrets unravel.

In addition to Alicia Keys, the creative team for STICK FLY includes David Gallo (Scenic Design), Reggie Ray (Costume Design), Beverly Emmons (Lighting Design) and Peter Fitzgerald / Sound Associates (Sound Design).

STICK FLY will be produced on Broadway by Nelle Nugent, Alicia Keys, Samuel Nappi, Reuben Cannon, Sharon A. Carr/Patricia Klausner, Huntington Theatre Company, Dan Frishwasser, Sarahbeth Grossman, Charles Salameno in association with Joseph Sirola & Eric Falkenstein.
