Alice Coote Withdraws from Thomas Adès and Friends Concert Due to Illness

Carnegie Hall today announced that mezzo-soprano Alice Coote must regrettably withdraw from the upcoming Thomas Adès and Friends concert due to illness. The recital-scheduled for this Sunday, October 15 at 3:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall-will continue with previously announced artists. Stars from the cast of Thomas Adès's newest opera, The Exterminating Angel-soprano Sally Matthews, countertenor Iestyn Davies, and tenor Joseph Kaiser-will join pianist Thomas Adès for an afternoon of song. Much of the previously announced program, including music by Schubert, Britten, Purcell, and Adès, remains with some updates reflected in full below.
