Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner's SECONDHAND LIONS Gets World Premiere at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, 9/10-10/6

By:

5th Avenue Theatre just announced its 2013/2014 season, which will feature the world premiere of Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner's SECONDHAND LIONS, with book by Rupert Holmes. The production will be directed by Scott Schwartz and will run September 10-October 6, 2013.

Based on the popular film, this world premiere musical harkens back to a simpler time, when a boy's imagination was all that was needed to turn a summer on a Texas farm into the adventure of a lifetime. The tall tales that his two irascible uncles tell him - stories of hidden treasures, beguiling princesses, and derring-do - take our young hero to the sands of Arabia and beyond. Featuring music and lyrics from the songwriters who brought you the now Broadway-bound First Date, this show is sure to be another runaway hit!
