Dancers of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater welcome fans and friends to join them in the intimate surroundings of The Ailey Citigroup Theater for Reveal, special self-produced performances on Saturday July 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday July 29 at 3:00 p.m. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Ailey Dancers' Resource Fund, which started in 1995 to assist current and former company members with grants for career transition, creative endeavors or emergency loans.

Reveal will feature nine original works choreographed and performed by members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, with a special appearance by acclaimed Guest Artist and Rehearsal Director, Matthew Rushing. Choreographers include Hope Boykin, Clifton Brown, Vernard Gilmore, Yannick Lebrun, Chalvar Monteiro, Jamar Roberts, and Kanji Segawa.

Performances take place at The Ailey Citigroup Theater in Ailey's home, The Joan Weill Center for Dance, 405 West 55th Street (at Ninth Avenue). General admission tickets are now available for $25 in advance through SmartTix.com, and will be $30 at the door, if available (a sell out is expected).

Proceeds raised from ticket sales will go directly to Ailey Dancers' Resource Fund grant and loan program that provides financial assistance to dancers. Since its inception in 1995, Ailey Dancers' Resource Fund provides financial assistance to current and former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater company members in the form of Career Transition Grants, Creative Endeavor Grants and Emergency Loans. Career Transition Grants assist dancers in pursuing new career paths when the inevitable retirement from performing occurs. Creative Endeavor Grants provide dancers with support for choreographic projects and workshops. Emergency Loans are for dancers faced with emergency situations such as illness and disability.
