The Actors' Fund has announced a number of events and benefits to fill the rest of the summer and early fall.

The Auction of 1000 Stars 2005, in partnership with Yahoo!, will begin on Monday, July 18. "Extravagant celebrity experiences and memorabilia from Broadway to Baseball will be on sale to the highest bidder - Here's your chance to make your Broadway debut or lunch with your favorite star. Bids begin at $5 and there is something for everyone!," states a press article.

A bevy of shows will offer benefit performances with proceeds going to the Actors' Fund. Sunday, August 7 at PM, The Pillowman will play a benefit night. "One of the most talked about and controversial plays of the season" it stars Billy Crudup and Jeff Goldblum.

Sunday, July 24 at 8pm, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will give their own special benefit performance. The show stars "John Lithgow, Sherie Rene Scott and 2005 Tony Winner Norbert Leo Butz in a new musical based on the 1988 film. With 11 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, Clive Barnes called it 'one of the liveliest, funniest, best performed musicals in years.'"

Glengarry Glen Ross will host a benefit night on Sunday, August 14th at 8pm. The show stars Alan Alda, Liev Schreiber, Jeffrey Tambor, and Tom Wopat in a "Tony-award winning revival of the David Mamet classic."

A one-night only benefit concert of On the Twentieth Century will be presented on Monday, September 26th. "Join us for The Actors' Fund's fifth annual benefit concert - always one of the highlights of the theatre season. Dreamgirls, Funny Girl, Chess, Hair - and now, this year, The Fund is proud to present an all-star cast in the hilarious Cy Coleman, Betty Comden and Adolph Green musical."

All the proceeds from these events benefit The Actors' Fund of America's programs and services, helping everyone in the entertainment industry nationwide. Visit www.actorsfund.org for breaking news, additional information and the latest celebrity photo albums.
