The American Museum of Natural History kicks off One Step Beyond for its ninth seasonwith DJ sets by Freedom Party® NYC's DJ Cosi, Herbert Holler, and Marc Smooth. The event will take place in the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Hall of the Universe on Friday, October 16.

At this ongoing party series, guests can dance in the Museum's Rose Center for Earth and Space to the sounds of the biggest names in techno, electronica, hip-hop, and indie rock. Guests can also enjoy the Hayden Big Bang Theater, located in the lower part of the Hayden Sphere, which features a dynamic multimedia presentation, narrated by acclaimed actor Liam Neeson, that takes visitors on a thrilling four-minute trip from Earth to the edge of the visible universe.

WHO

Created in 2003 by Herbert Holler, DJ Cosi, and Marc Smooth, Freedom Party® NYC is billed as the longest running weekly Friday night dance party in New York City history. The Dance Party is now in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Now in its 12th year, the Freedom Party® NYC resides at Santos Party House in downtown Manhattan, and performs at many events, including Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Summer Gala, First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum, Celebrate Brooklyn at Brooklyn Bridge Park, and many more.

WHERE

American Museum of Natural History. Guests should enter through the Weston Pavilion entrance on Columbus Avenue at 79th Street.

ADMISSION

Admission to One Step Beyond is $25 in advance, $30 on the day of show. Guests must be 21 or older and present valid ID. A beer and wine cash bar is available. Advance purchase is recommended. Tickets may be available at the door.
