New York City's premier acting studio for kids and teens, A Class Act NY will be returning to the Sid Jacobson JCC in Roslyn with their award-winning One-Week Broadway, Camp ACA, August 23rd - 27th.

Lucky campers work all-week long with Broadway stars from smash hits, such as Billy Elliot, Wicked The Little Mermaid and many more too numerous to mention in one-hour workshops on every aspect of the performing arts, including musical theatre audition technique, on-camera acting, vocal training, Broadway dance, intro to Shakespeare, stage combat and make-up. During lunch break, performers answer questions and sign autographs.

In addition to the Workshops, campers rehearse for a Musical Theatre Revue in which they make their Off-Broadway Debut at the JCC's 200-seat state of the Art Theatre!

To top it all off, on Wednesday, campers are bused into Manhattan to take in a Broadway matinee! After the show, kids are treated to a Talk Back in which performers field questions about what it's like to be a professional actor!

Artistic Director, Jessica Rofé said, "I am so delighted that Broadway veteran, Judine Somerville of Hairspray, Crazy For You, The Life, On The Town, and Late Nite Comic fame, will be returning as my co-camp director this summer."

"Not only is Judine a consummate performer and educator, she also has a dynamic personality and is so great with kids!"

Rofé goes on to say, "I love to see the smiles on our campers faces. Their enthusiasm is so heart-warming! We've created a program that is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for our campers!"

Kids come from as far away as California to London fly in to attend camp! Working together in an intimate setting, campers forge life-long friendships and memories they will cherish forever.
