Broadwayworld has joined with the cast of Rain- A Beatles Tribute for our new "8 Days A Week" feature. Each day for eight days Joe Bithorn, Joey Curatolo, Steve Landes, and Ralph Castelli of Rain will answer one question about what The Beatles mean to them.

Day 1- Share your best Beatles memory.

Joe Bithorn (George Harrison)

Hearing about them on NYC radio stations, listening to "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and then finally seeing them on Ed Sullivan. Going to see "A Hard Days Night" in the movies and even there, the girls were screaming. After that it was waiting for the new Beatles albums and singles to come out.

Joey Curatolo (Paul McCartney)

Seeing them on the Ed Sullivan show Feb 9 1964. One of my most vivid childhood memories was reading the Hunter Davies biography of The Beatles which totally enthralled me and inspired me to teach myself the guitar at a young age.

Steve Landes (John Lennon)

I was born after The Beatles' time; I found them though my parents and older sisters. So my earliest memories of The Beatles would be getting the hand-me-down 45s, posters, T-shirts, memorabilia from my sisters when I was a kid. There was second generation Beatlemania going on in my house in the 70s!

Ralph Castelli (Ringo Starr)

My first recollection is the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show Feb 9, 1964. Together with my brothers and family, we all sat on the floor waiting with baited breath for the Beatles to appear.

As many of the cast members recall, The Beatles first appeared on The Ed Sulivan Show on February 9, 1964. This broadcast is widely considered a milestone in American pop culture and the beginning of The British Invasion in American music. The show drew over 73 million viewers, breaking records and bringing Americans their first view of the Beatles' hysterical teenage female fans, famous for screaming and fainting in the audience. The band played such hits as "Till There Was You," "She Loves You," and "All My Loving," large portions of which were drowned out by the cries from the audience.

RAIN is currently performing to packed houses at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre, 250 W. 52 Street now through January 9th! For tickets go to www.ticketmaster.com or call 877-250-2929.
