Robert Schenkkan, All the Way - Best Play
I was sitting having a cup of coffee with my lap top open this morning, streaming in the news of the announcement - so it was a good way to wake up! It's a fantastic, a great honor, particularly with the strength of the crowd of nominees - you know Lapine, McNally, I've been nominated before and I'm very pleased to be back, it's a very gratifying feeling. Already today my Facebook and twitter have blown up with congratulatory messages, and I'll be at the theater later tonight, the Democratic National Committee is hosting a reception before the show and they'll be a talkback after the show so it will be a great way to celebrate - it will be working day for me but that's okay, it's very exciting.
