6:30 Concert Series: Maximal Minimalists - Music by Rzewski & Eastman Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 6:30 PMUW-Green Bays Contemporary Percussion Ensemble (led by Dr. Bill Sallak, Associate Professor of Music) forms the core ensemble for a performance of two iconic works of American minimalism. Frederic Rzewskis Coming Together/Attica is a relentless meditation on a powerful text by Sam Melville; the performance will feature narration by Associate Lecturer of Theatre Alan Kopischke. The program is balanced out by Julius Eastmans ebullient, genre-bending work Stay On It.This concert streamed live from Fort Howard Hall in the Weidner Center for the Performing ArtsSupport scholarships for UW-Green Bay Music students with a donation to Friends of Music (https://secure.qgiv.com/for/music), or by texting "GBMUSIC" to 50155.This event is proudly supported by The Rob & Cathy Riordan Family Foundation.
