George Bailey Lassos Juneau This Winter!

Perseverance Theatre actor-in-residence James Sullivan loves It's a Wonderful Life so much he will do it all for you-every character and all your favorite scenes. It's one of those films that becomes a part of you. You watched it every year as a kid; lines bubble up when you least expect it-"Susu's petals," "no man is a failure who has friends," "Atta boy, Clarence!" Revel with your friends and neighbors in this generations-old story that magically remains part of our collective imagination.

This Wonderful Life is a creative and hilarious send-up of the original Frank Capra film, written by Steve Murray, conceived by Mark Setlock. It's adapted from Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra, and Jo Swerling's original screenplay, It's a Wonderful Life. Juneau's own Allison Holtkamp brings her sharp wit to the show as the play's director. Sound design by Lucy Peckham. Light and scenic design by Perseverance Theatre Artistic Director Art Rotch.

James Sullivan plays the Narrator and all the residents of Bedford Falls. James was most recently seen on the Perseverance stage as Mrs. Betty Bumbrake in Peter and the Starcatcher. James has delighted audiences around Alaska with quick humor and larger-than-life characters. You'll be immediately drawn in by his George Bailey, Mary Hatch, Mr. Potter, and many, many more.
