Cyrano's Theatre Company, the resident theatre company at Cyrano's Off-Center Playhouse in downtown Anchorage, Alaska, has announced its upcoming events through October, 2010. Cyrano's is nonprofit and was formed in 1995 by a group of volunteers committed to producing professional, quality works utilizing Alaskan talent. At Cyrano's there's something for everyone with a wide variety of plays. Cyrano's operates year round with a different play every month. The theater is located at 4th & D in historic downtown Anchorage. RAVENS RADIO HOUR THE SUMMER EDITION
By Jack Dalton and Ed Bourgeios, A hilarious romp through Alaska's Native cultures! Based on legends, stories and present-day occurrences, Raven's Radio Hour is a two-hour show based on a a 40s-style radio variety show, hosted by Raven, the quintessential creator/trickster of all Alaska's Native cultures, and some of the most talented, funny Alaska Native actors in the modern world! By Conor McPherson. Directed by Krista Schwarting. This play is by the Irish Playwright that the NY Times called probably the finest playwright of his generation. This rich and comedic play will ambush you and haunt you for days later
