Umbrella Children's Theatre presents an original adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson tale by Rebecca Morgan, with original music by Melange. Student actors range in age from 5 to 17 years old. A vain emperor obsessed with fancy clothes falls prey to a scheming seamstress, weaver, and spinner who convince him they can make him a suit of special magic cloth visible only to those who are worthy. The emperor ultimately learns that it's not how someone looks that makes them who they are, but what they do.
