Alburquerque's West End Productions opens Translations on November 7, running Fridays and Saturdays through November 23 at the North Fourth Art Center.
Translations is written by renowned Irish playwright Brian Friel and directed by Joe Feldman. It explores the cultural and linguistic tensions in 19th-century Ireland, as a group of Irish villagers grapple with the arrival of British soldiers and the imposition of English names and language on their landscape.
The play runs an hour and a half with no intermission. This production is directed by Joe Feldman.
