• Sandi Patty: Forever Grateful -Saturday, May 28 at 8 p.m. ($39-$79). A night of gospel beauty with this Grammy & Dove winner - the most celebrated artist in the genre of contemporary Christian music. Loved the world over for her spellbinding vocals and spirit, Sandi Patty's concert with special guests Veritas is part of an international tour. • The Texas Tenors: Let Freedom Sing - Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m. ($39-$89). From Bruno Mars to Puccini, these three handsome tenors who've been named the #10 Classical Artist group in the world appear with their band for a night of patriotic tunes: American heritage music, pop and Broadway favorites. • "Taste of the Spencer" Fundraiser - Saturday, June 18 at 6 p.m. ($60-all inclusive). A robust evening of scrumptious hors d'eouvres, generous pours of wine and the live & silent auction of art, trips, antiques, jewelry, golf and fishing packages, fine clothing, collectibles and more. Fun, fun, fun. A raffle for a new 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 will also be held. "Taste of the Spencer" is the not-for-profit theater's most critical annual fundraiser, proceeds from which are used for facility operations and programming. • Almost, Maine - Wayland University Theatre, Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m. ($30). Honored as one of the Best Plays of the last decade, "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani is about love's joys and perils shared from a sleepy, wannabe town in vignettes that are romantic, whimsical, unpredictable and bittersweet. Starring a cast of graduate & undergraduate college students. Pre-show tilapia buffet is also available ($20) in the lobby at 6 p.m.

• The Swing Dolls -Saturday, July 2 at 8 p.m. ($39-$89). Featuring three commanding vocalists (two sopranos and an alto) plus a rollicking live band, this tribute to The Andrews Sisters and The McGuire Sisters is a night of close-cropped harmonies, stylish choreography and vintage costuming in performance of such WWII swing era classics as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," and "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree." • Space Oddity: David Brighton's Tribute to David Bowie -Thursday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ($39-$69). This extraordinary look-alike/sound-alike to David Bowie honors his many hits & musical phases. The late Bowie himself gave Brighton's impersonation of Bowie the nod, and you'll see why in this unforgettable stage production that includes flamboyant costume changes, elaborate staging and an all-star backing band. • Missoula Children's Theatre's "The Princess and the Pea" - Friday, July 15 at 7 p.m. ($10 for children, $18 adults). Approximately 50-60 children, ages 6-16, will be needed for the musical's various parts. Auditions set for Monday, July 11 at 9 a.m. No experience necessary. Weeklong theatre workshop is free. • Tanya Tucker - Saturday, August 6 & Sunday, August 7 at 8 p.m. ($39-$89). This amazingly prolific country star scored her first hit "Delta Dawn" when just 13 (back in 1972) and continues to score mega-hits, including more than 65 chart hits. Tucker's distinctively smoky voice and superb band share her many Grammy nominated and ACA classics like "Down To My Last Teardrop," "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane," and "Blood Red and Goin' Down," among other favorites. • Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jóse Hernàndez- Thursday, August 25 & Friday, August 26 at 8 p.m. ($39-$75). Since 1997, the visually striking, seven storied Spencer Theater has raised the curtain on some of the finest performers and companies of our time.

The creation of this stunning home for the performing arts was a long held dream for the late Jackie Spencer and her husband A.N. Spencer, who personally funded the amazing project, considered one of the greatest gifts to the state in New Mexican history. Renowned New Mexican architect Antoine Predock designed the theater to silhouette Sierra Blanca, the glacial peak that hovers in the near distance. The building, made from 440 tons of mica-flecked Spanish limestone, gleams in the desert light. The Spencer Theater further features a step-like fountain, reminiscent of a mountain stream, and an intriguing, multifaceted glass lobby. The 50,000-square-foot, 514-seat theater sits on 72 acres of pinion-dotted land in the Ruidoso area and acts as an oasis in this windswept mesa. Jackie Spencer Morgan additionally commissioned the world's foremost glass artist, Dale Chihuly, to create permanent glass art installations for the theater, which allow it to shine brightly and sparkle with color regardless of the season.
