BWW Previews: WAIT UNTIL DARK at Albuquerque Little Theatre

Wait Until Dark was first performed on Broadway in 1966 and has been revived several times since then. The play even inspired an academy award nominated movie starring Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin, and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. in 1967. This dark and suspenseful thriller that is reminiscent of Hitchcock, is now playing at Albuquerque Little Theatre. This production, which is based off of Fredrick Knott's play, has been adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher for Albuquerque Little Theatre.

The play revolves around Susan Hendricks, a recently blinded woman, who unknowingly comes into possession of a doll filled with diamonds. When three criminals, lead by Harry Roat, that Hendricks has the doll, they do everything they can to con her into giving them the doll - and the diamonds it contains. This production of the play uses the themes of darkness and light to highlight the battle between Susan and the would be thieves. Aided by her upstairs neighbor, Gloria, Susan does what she can to outwit the criminals. Albuquerque Little Theatre's production of Wait Until Dark is being called an "edge-of-your-seat thriller" that can't be missed!

Wait Until Dark stars Owen Callis as Sgt. Carlino, Thane Kenny as Harry Roat, Janine O'Neill Loffelmacher, Michael Weppler as Sam Hendrix, Micah Linford as Mike Talman, and Leedy Corbin as Gloria. The production runs from January 26, 2018 - February 11, 2018. Curtain times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm. There will be a Saturday Matinee on February 3rd at 2:00 pm as well as a Thursday performance on February 8th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors (65+), $18 for students (13 - university), and $14 for children 12 and under.
