Reimagined in a post-apocalyptic setting, this Shakespearean epic unfolds amidst the madness of a world in ruins.

As Lear descends into insanity and his daughters' ambitions spiral out of control, visual echoes of a lost world are supported by themes of power, betrayal and excessive pride with an abdication of responsibility.

Some of Adelaide’s finest talent capture the desperation and instability of characters grappling with the collapse of civilization.

Due to a global calamity, civilisation as we currently view it has collapsed and has returned to the ways of a distant past. We find ourselves in a world which is slowly trying to rebuild itself.”
