West End theatres have confirmed their safety certificates are up to date following last night's ceiling collapse at the Apollo.

The Society of London Theatre issued a statement this morning following a meeting, saying, "Every theatre undergoes rigorous safety checks and inspections by independent experts...[a]ll the major theatre owners have confirmed that their safety inspections and certificates are up to date, and Will Cooperate fully with the authorities to reassure the public that their theatres are safe."

Unsurprisingly, performances of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time have been cancelled for Friday and Saturday.
