Any musical theatre fans who savour the chance to experience new writing may wish to drop in to Dress Circle on Saturday April 21, when London's premier musical theatre store will showcase the newly released debut album of Shropshire-born actor-singer-songwriter Joe Sterling, "Somewhere In My Mind", prior to a signing of albums by Sterling and other guest vocalists from the album.

The showcase will feature live performances from Sterling and two star guest vocalists who recorded songs for the album, both of whom will be taking time off from filming for the upcoming Les Miserables movie, Jos Slovick and Rosa O'Reilly.

Slovick, seen recently in the highly acclaimed production of Guys And Dolls at Upstairs At The Gatehouse, made his West End debut in the role of Georg in the Olivier Award-winning musical Spring Awakening before going on to play lead roles in The Human Comedy at the Young Vic and in Stiles and Drewe's Soho Cinders at the Queen's Theatre.

Rosa O'Reilly covered and played the role of Meat in We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre and covered and played Eponine in the 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables. It was recently announced that she will join the cast of the UK tour of Dirty Dancing in July.

The singers from the album will be joined by special guest Ben Stott, who recently accompanied Joe Sterling on the song "Here We Are" (a duet sung on the album by Jonathan Eio and Jack Shalloo) at SimG Productions' "Easter With The Composers" cabaret at the Battersea Barge. Sterling and Stott (whose stage roles include Jack in Sondheim's Into The Woods in Regent's Park and Boq in Wicked) will recreate their performance at Dress Circle.

"Somewhere In My Mind - the Songs of Joe Sterling" - produced for SimG Records by one of the UK's greatest champions of new musical theatre writing, Simon Greiff - includes 13 tracks of brand new songs, mostly from the new musical "Roundabout", performed by current and future West End stars: Craig Rhys Barlow, Adam Bayjou, Killian Donnelly, Jonathan Eio, Ross Hunter, Ashleigh Jones, Craig Mather, Rosa O'Reilly, Kit Orton, Rhiannon Sarah Porter, Jack Shalloo, Jos Slovick, JoNathan Williams - and Joe Sterling.

Sterling, who covered and played Mowgli in the 2011/2012 UK tour of The Jungle Book, has already attracted high praise for the quality of his album:

"Sterling's gorgeous songs tell heartfelt and witty stories in the vernacular of contemporary pop" (Andy Propst: TheatreMania)

"The freshest and possibly hottest new talent in musical theatre" (John Roberts: The Public Reviews)
