Mark Evans & Sain Records are proud to announce the release of the brand new double A side single The Journey Home / Adre'n Ol taken from the up and coming album The Journey Home which is released in October.

The Journey Home: Originally from Bombay Dreams & written by A.R Rahmen. A stunning piece of work and an emotionally poignant song for Mark.

Adre'n Ol (Homeward Bound): Adre'n ôl was written for Mark by brother and sister Ynyr and
Angharad Llwyd, from Prion. Featuring the choral vocals of Cor Ysgol Glanaethwy. A beautiful and emotive ballad.

Over the last few months Mark has been extremely busy between performing 8 shows a week as Fiyero and recording his debut album with the Caernarfon-based recording label Sain.

"It's my first album," explains Mark, "and I'm very excited!

"In September 2010 I began the mammoth task of deciding what songs to have on my debut album. I never realised just how difficult this would be. I'm a very indecisive person naturally, and so I decided to make the album very personal and almost autobiographical of the 10 years since I left home."

Mark sees himself as a very patriotic and proud Welsh-speaking Welshman and felt it important to record an equal number of Welsh and English language songs creating a bilingual album. Featured guests on the album include Ysgol Glanaethwy, who perform with Mark on a number of tracks, and fellow West End singer Ashleigh Gray who joins Mark in a duet titled Alive.

Having travelled the country acting and performing, Mark also gives something back to his community. The West End in Wales scheme is an initiative created by Mark back in August 2006. This inspiring program offers children in North Wales the chance to work alongside Evans and current West End professionals in a week-long musical theatre summer school held in August each year, getting first-hand advice from someone who emerged from their very town.

Another primary musical achievement of Mark's came when he appeared on "Your Country Needs You" with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber. Mark reached the final in this BBC television competition. From here he developed on an emerging career in television, particularly in Welsh speaking broadcast. He's become a regular on S4C, appeared frequently as a presenter on whatsoninthetheatre.com and starred on many Welsh speaking programs.
