Illusionist Derren Brown has "spoken of his horror" after a man in the audience fell 15ft from a "steeply raked upper balcony" during his August 3rd show Infamous at the West End's Palace Theatre. According to Whatsonstage, the man was reportedly pushed by his wife "as a joke," and managed to grab hold of the lighting rig after his 15 foot drop.

Brown expressed his thoughts on Twitter after the show: "Sending best thoughts to him and his wife, terrifying." An eyewitness of the event described the fall, saying, "He hit the lights and grabbed the bar with one arm...A few inches to one side and there would be nothing to break the fall."

Hollywood Stars Glenn Close, John C Reilly, and Russel Brand were also present in the audience.
