With stunning new tap dancing choreography, the 15th anniversary London production of Alan?Ayckbourn and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical BY JEEVES, is to play 5 weeks at the Landor Theatre from Tuesday 1 February to Saturday 5 March.

The Press Night is Tuesday 8 February at 7.30pm

BY JEEVES, based on the stories of Bertie Wooster and his butler Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse, features a fantastic tap-dancing cast and 13 delightful songs composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Alan Ayckbourn. It is as refreshingly English as a gin and tonic!

When Bertie Wooster's banjo mysteriously disappears just as he is about to give a concert in a church hall, his quick-witted and unflappable manservant Jeeves suggests that he entertain his audience by relating the hapless romantic misadventures of his circle of high-society London cronies...

Full casting to be announced shortly

The director is Nick Bagnall, who directed ENTERTAINING MR SLOANE at Trafalgar Studios and the recent 50th anniversary production of BILLY LIAR at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.

The new tap-inspired choreography is by Andrew Wright, who recently won rave reviews for "42nd Street" at Chichester Festival Theatre:

".....an exhilarating orgy of tap-dancing... Andrew Wright's choreography has both wit and a winning vitality"?
Charles Spencer, Daily Telegraph

"... the hoofing is fabulous... the most expressive tap I have seen. It is polished, it is joyful"?
Libby Purves, The Times

"42nd Street offers lavish scope for choreography imaginatively seized by Andrew Wright"?
Michael Bllington, The?Guardian

Production design is by Morgan Large, whose West End credits include FLASHDANCE, CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, NEVER FORGET, &?FOOTLOOSE; Lighting Design by Olivier Award-winning Mike Robertson (SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE) and his associate Howard Hudson; Sound?Design by Matt McKenzie for Autograph.

CLOSER THAN EVER:?"Menier Chocolate Factory watch out! The Landor is snapping at your heels in both productions and menu! If music be the food of love then see Close Than Ever at the Landor" Paul Vale, The Stage

TOMORROW MORNING: "Neat performances all round, and a very cunning design from Chris de Wilde, signpost the future for this brave venue, which is turning itself into a miniature musical powerhouse. It slips down as easily as champagne" Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
