INDIAN INK's Romola Garai will play 'Isabella' in Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR MEASURE at the Young Vic from tonight, October 2, 2015. Joe Hill-Gibbins directs.

In case you don't know the story, Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR MEASURE centers on Claudio, Isabella's brother, who is arrested by the conservative leader of Vienna for getting his lover pregnant out of wedlock. Isabella is about to enter a nunnery when she hears of her brother's arrest and comes to his aid.

Garai last appeared off-Broadway in Roundabout Theatre Company's INDIAN INK, opposite Rosemary Harris. Among her UK stage credits are Royal Shakespeare Company's THE SEAGULL and KING LEAR, as well as CALICO and THE VILLAGE BIKE in the West End.

The actress will next be seen on the big screen alongside Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep in the movie SUFFRAGETTE.

A Golden Globe nominee, Garai's other film credits include VANITY FAIR, AS YOU LIKE IT, AMAZING GRACE, ATONEMENT, GLORIOUS 39, ONE DAY, and the BBC series EMMA, THE HOUR and more.
