Jessica Lee Goldyn, Colleen Sexton, Mark Hardy and More Set for West Virginia Public Theatre's 2014 Summer Season

The West Virginia Public Theatre has announced the lineup for their 2014 summer season, which will include actors Jessica Lee Goldyn, Colleen Sexton, Mark Hardy, and more.

Broadway's Coleen Sexton (Jekyll & Hyde) makes her WVPT debut as Mona Kent in DAMES AT SEA (July 9 - 13). Playing the duo roles of Hennesy/The Captain will be Gavan Pamer. Producing Artistic Director Michael Licata directs with choreography by Stephen Casey and Musical direction by R.J. Nestor. The cast also includes Aisling Halphin (A Chorus Line - Nat'l tour), Patrick Graver (West Side Story - Nat'l tour) and Blake Spellacy. The scenic designer is Britton Mauk with costume design by Keith Schneider.

Broadway's Jessica Lee Goldyn (A Chorus Line), and Mark Hardy (Titanic, Les Miserables) lead the cast of SOUTH PACIFIC (July 16th - 20th) as Ensign Nellie Forbush and Emile De Becque. Directed and choreographed by Nathaniel Shaw with musical direction by David Madore, scenic design by Bradley Wherle and costume design by Keith Schneider. The cast also includes Peter Carrier as Lt. Joseph Cable, Yvonne Strumecki (South Pacific - Nat'l tour, Man of La Mancha - Nat'l tour) as Bloody Mary, Kana Takahashi as Liat, and Andrew Wilson as Luther Billis. It plays from July 16th through 20th.

Playing from July 23rd through July 27th is HANK WILLIAMS: LOST HIGHWAY. Andy Christopher will play the country legend. The cast also includes Broadway veteran Marsha Waterbury and Larry John Meyers. Troy Snyder is designing the set and Katherine Garlick is designing the costumes.

Closing the season is THE WHO'S TOMMY. The cast includes Brian Walters (Titanic - Nat'l tour), Christopher DeRosa, Brooke Jacob, James Holden, and Jarrad Green (West Side Story - Nat'l tour). Directed and Choreographed by Keith Schneider and Stephen Casey, David Madore is the Music Director and Bradley Wehrle the scenic designer. TOMMY plays from July 30th to August 3rd.

This season Ron Ianonne, the founding producer, has announced his retirement from the helm of WVPT. Larry Mabrey, Founder of the Avalon Theatre Company in St. Louis, has joined the organization as Managing Director.
