With self-deprecating humor and warmth, Broadway legend and two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone takes us on a career-spanning tour of the roles she coulda, woulda, shoulda, or did play. Recounting the mass “cattle-call” auditions of her early career, an unlikely entrance to Juilliard, and her numerous career ups and downs, LuPone bares all as she sings selections from Hair, Evita, Bye Bye Birdie, Funny Girl, West Side Story, Kiss Me, Kate, and Peter Pan. The winner of an Olivier Award for her performances in West End productions of Les Misérables (as the original Faninte) and The Cradle Will Rock, LuPone lovingly reflects on both the good times and the bad.
