In this special performance, Ndegeocello pays tribute to the high priestess of soul, Nina Simone, whose crooning set the jazz and blues world ablaze with a voice like no other. Called “the best kind of dedication” (AllMusic), Ndegeocello invokes the classic inspiration of Simone with simmering interpretations of her most famous songs (Feelin’ Good; Real Real; To Be Young, Gifted, and Black) as well as songs from Ndegeocello’s own musical catalogue.
