The youth around Addison County can pick and choose their summer activities under the lights at the Town Hall Theater. There will be an array of classes in dance, theater, and music for a variety of ages.

According to Education Director, Lindsay Pontius, “participants can be learning a hip hop step and dancing with the ensemble in a Broadway number one week, planning the best way to go in for the kill at the end of the duel another week, and performing slapstick comedy the next.”

There are several intensive week-long workshops including the increasingly popular School of Rock and Roll with Clint Bierman and members of The Grift. “We are capitalizing on the master teachers and artists that we have in our region,” says Pontius, “the workshops are designed to immerse young performers in the art form, to raise the bar high but have as much fun as possible.”

The summer season will culminate in a performance workshop featuring the THT Young Company. For a complete listing of classes, days, times, and age groups visit http://www.townhalltheater.org/THTclasses.html.
