THREE MINUTE HEROES to Return to Coventry This Fall; Seeks 2 Tone Fan Pictures

Three Minute Heroes, the smash-hit 2 Tone musical will make its long awaited return to Coventry for three weeks this Autumn following two previous sell-out runs at the Belgrade Theatre in 2000 and 2001.

In countdown to the show, the Belgrade Theatre is launching an appeal for audiences to share their personal memories of the era that inspired a musical revolution.

Individuals wishing to contribute personal photographs from the era will have the opportunity to see their 2 Tone fan pictures featured live on stage this October as part of Patrick Connellan's 2 Tone inspired set design for the show.

To launch the appeal, stars of The Selecter, Pauline Black and Arthur 'Gaps' Hendrickson will join Coventry Telegraph Music Columnist and Director of the Coventry Music Museum, Pete Chambers at an exclusive drop-in event taking place at the Belgrade Theatre between 11am - 2pm on Saturday 26th July.

Members of the public are invited to drop into the Belgrade Theatre between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 26th July to share their photographic and other memories of the era.

Members of the public are also invited to email the Belgrade Theatre with their photos and other memories using email: 2Toneremembered@belgrade.co.uk, Subject Line: Ska'd For Life.

You can also share your memories via Facebook at www.facebook.com/Belgradetheatre or via Twitter @BelgradeTheatre using the hashtag #2ToneRemembered

Telling the story of 2 Tone through the lives of five Coventry teenagers and the racial tensions that engulfed the city at that time, Three Minute Heroes is a funny, feel-good and, at times, thought-provoking tribute to the city that inspired a musical revolution. Featuring a terrific live band and a soundtrack of songs which made stars of The Specials and The Selecter, tickets for Three Minute Heroes are on sale now.

Tickets for Three Minute Heroes are priced from £9 - £21.25 and can be purchased via the Belgrade Theatre's Box Office on 024 7655 3055 or online at www.belgrade.co.uk where cheaper tickets are available.
