Edinburgh - are you ready to speak dance? Fans of Spinal Tap and Flight of the Conchords, say "Hallo!" to your new favourite band.

Otto & Astrid are the brother and sister rock stars that together make up the band Die Roten Punkte. In 2013 they appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and bloody smashed it, got about a million amazing reviews and were nominated for the TO&ST (Time Out Soho Theatre) Best Cabaret Award.

Since then they've played more dates with Amanda Palmer, had a run at Soho Theatre, as well as in Montreal and Melbourne, won all the awards and made a web series chronicling their rehearsals for "Eurosmash!" which has so far had close to half a million views.

For those of you unlucky enough not to yet be familiar with Berlin's Prince and Princess of Indie Rock and Europop, Otto & Astrid are Die Roten Punkte (The Red Dots). Orphaned as kids when Astrid was 12 and Otto was 9, the brother and sister duo found shelter in a Berlin squat and never looked back. An Otto and Astrid gig is a wild, rock'n'roll cabaret ride, full of hilarious, truly catchy and award-winning pop songs, constantly interrupted by the squabbling of the dysfunctional siblings.

Now they return to Edinburgh with their first full show in four years. And this year they are back with a brand new sound - sharing songs from their new album - Eurosmash!.

Their previous album, Kunst Rock, was very deep and very, very arty - some might say too arty ... so now, in a quest to attract a wider audience, our favourite self-delusional punk-pop rocksters are expanding their musical stylings - to varying degrees of success.

While Otto is busy calculating the exact number of beats per second most likely to encourage people to dance with other people, Astrid has other ambitions, preferring to eat chips on stage and get utterly trashed - aspiring only to be rich via mainstream success.

Yet somehow they come together perfectly, as our heroes put aside their differences to put together one of the most irreverent and hilarious gigs you are ever likely to see.

A lipstick-smeared, tantrum-loving, sonic collision between B52s, The Pixies, Kraftwerk and early Ramones with ridiculously infectious songs, Otto and Astrid are truly unique.
