Sheffield Theatres and Our Cow Molly have announced today that their partnership on this year's pantomime, Jack and The Beanstalk, has resulted in excellent results for both Sheffield businesses.

Sheffield Theatres has been supplied by Our Cow Molly for the last four years. When the Theatres confirmed the 2013 pantomime would be Jack and The Beanstalk, which features a cow as part of the story, it seemed that a partnership with the Sheffield dairy farm and ice cream maker was a natural link. Over the course of the 4 week run ice cream sales increased by 59% (compared to 2012) and in the last 12 months the Theatres has seen a 17% increase in overall sales of the Our Cow Molly ice cream.

Our Cow Molly's sponsorship of Jack and the Beanstalk promoted both The Farm and the pantomime in a range of innovative ways, including a special 'slosh' scene set in the Our Cow Molly dairy. The show was also supported by The Farm with advertising appearing on thousands of milk bottles and promotion at the famous 'Our Cow Molly Family Bonfire Night' celebrations.

Dan Bates, Chief Executive of Sheffield Theatres said:

'This has been a fantastic partnership for Sheffield Theatres. It has been great fun being able to bring Molly the Cow to life for audiences to enjoy. It's also been a pleasure to work with such a well-loved local business to help them to raise their profile and encourage people to visit their wonderful farm. This partnership also provides valuable support to enable us to continue to produce work of the highest quality for the people of Sheffield and beyond.'

Eddie Andrew, Partner at Our Cow Molly said:

'The partnership we have with Sheffield Theatres is pretty unique; they have probably been the biggest supporter of our ice cream since we started making it. Our involvement in the pantomime was well planned and they delivered over and above what we expected. Plus all the benefit stays in Sheffield's economy and that is fantastic for us all. We are really proud to be a Sheffield business. The positive feedback from everyone has been wonderful I've even had families flag me down in the van to tell me how much they enjoyed the show. The Sheffield Theatres team are very professional and make sure the message you want to convey reaches the audience in the most engaging, memorable and fun way.'

Jack and the Beanstalk broke all Box Office records for pantomime and this year's show, Dick Whittington, is already on sale with a corporate partnership to be announced later this year.
