Mischief Theatre presents: Peter Pan Goes Wrong. From the makers of this summer's surprise comedy hit The Play That Goes Wrong, the inept Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society are back to blunder through their Christmas production. Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, Pleasance Theatre Islington, Tues 10th December to Sun 5th January 2014. PRESS NIGHT: Friday 13th December at 7.30pm.

Starting out at the Old Red Lion Theatre at Christmas 2012, Mischief Theatre's The Play That Goes Wrong transferred to Trafalgar Studio 2, where it extended its sell out run twice, performing two shows each night. This Christmas offering from the accident prone, disorganised and yet enduringly optimistic Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society sees them transfer their dubious talents from 1920's mystery Murder at Haversham Manor to their most ambitious production to date: Peter Pan. Two acts of hysterical disaster ensue as Lecoq style clowning meets fast paced classic British farce: the lost boys are still in Hammersmith, the flying system hasn't been used since the late '80's and there's more than one actor with his eye on playing Peter.

Mischief Theatre's artistic director Henry Lewis said: "Mischief Theatre is dedicated to creating ensemble comedy; funny theatre with a team spirited, collective work ethic at its heart. Our shows are generated in house with our own writing team and then developed through rehearsal with our highly skilled comic actors and improvisers. We are hugely excited to be presenting our own twist on a renowned family favourite for the first time this Christmas. After writing and presenting The Play that Goes Wrong earlier this year we wondered which classic Christmas tale had the most scope for disaster within it, the answer simply had to be Peter Pan. We're thrilled at the prospect of creating a show where through laughter we rediscover one of the most magical stories ever told."

Mischief Theatre is dedicated to creating engaging and exciting improvised and new writing comedy theatre, through well-honed improvisational and comedic technique and strong theatrical ensemble work. Since forming in 2008 the company have performed across both the UK and Europe, with past credits including Lights! Camera! Improvise! (Winner of the Spirit of the Fringe Award, 2013), Mogic (2010) and The Play that Goes Wrong (Winner: Six-Star Bobby Award Edinburgh Fringe 2013).
