Comedian Rich Hall's Grouchiness Set to Make Warrington Smile

TV star and comedian Rich Hall is returning to Parr Hall to share his grouchy, deadpan style with the Warrington public on his latest tour.

As the star of the critically-acclaimed BBC4 documentaries Rich Hall's California Stars, Rich Hall's You Can Go to Hell, I'm Going to Texas, and Rich Hall's Inventing the Indian, his unique sense of humour has established him as a master of absurdist irony and the king of rapid-fire wit.

The American will be visiting Warrington fresh off the back of success with Rich Hall's (US Election) Breakdown which guided listeners through the chaos that was the US presidential election on BBC Radio 4, a station he now knows well after having his documentary In Search Of Southern Hospitality aired on it in April.

The award-winning comedian, renowned for his expertly-crafted tirades and banter with audiences, has saddled up and hitched his wagon to tour the British Isles once again.

And this tour promises to leave the Parr Hall audience hanging on every word.

Rich has also become well-known for his television and radio work with notable UK appearances including regular slots on Channel 4's Very British Problems and Stand Up For the Week, and the BBC's QI, Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News for You.

Other strings to his bow include writing for The David Letterman Show, for which he won two Emmy awards, and inspiring Matt Groening's character Moe Szyslak from The Simpsons.

Rich is also an accomplished author with three releases to his name - Magnificent Bastards, I Blame Society and Things Snowball - and he has two very successful stand-up DVDs to his credit.

According to The Scotsman, his humour "creeps up on you and ambushes your funny bone like no one else" while The Guardian warns "now is the time to grab this chance to see the great man at work".
