Brian Conley to Launch New UK Tour with Variety Show ALIVE AND DANGEROUS

It was announced today (10th December) that one of Britain's most celebrated comic-entertainers, BRIAN CONLEY, will embark on a 36-date UK tour with his brand-new variety show Alive and Dangerous in the New Year. Starting on the 4th February and running up until the 8th April, BRIAN will perform brand-new comedy, sketches and songs, alongside some of his best-known and loved retrospective material from the screen and onstage in the finest theatres around the country.

BRIAN CONLEY'S 40-year TV career has seen him win multiple awards including a National Television Award for Most Popular Television Performer; star in the British Comedy Award winning sitcom Time After Time (ITV); host the 'most-watched light entertainment programme' (The Sunday Times) The Brian Conley Show (ITV); present the Royal Variety Performance (ITV and BBC) an incredible five times and appear as a performer a further six times; star in the popular ITV sitcom, The Grimleys; be invited to perform for an invited audience of celebrity guests with ITV's An Audience With..., joining a list of stars including BILLY CONNOLLY, ELTON JOHN and DAME EDNA EVERAGE; present the BBC National Lottery game show, We've Got Your Number; host Sky Television's quiz show Timeline and present BBC One's brand-new programme, TV That Made Me, which journeyed through the world of television with guests including SANDI TOKSVIG, LINFORD CHRISTIE and GOK WAN this summer and has had a second series commissioned.

As well-known for his work on the stage, BRIAN debuted in musical theatre with the lead role in Me and My Girl, before going on to cement his reputation with the Olivier Award-winning Jolson at the Victoria Palace Theatre, where his performance of Al Jolson also saw him secure a personal Olivier Award nomination. He went on to win a TMA Award for Best Musical Performance for his role in the What's On Stage Award-winning Music Man; star in the acclaimed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and in the Olivier Award-winning Hairspray; and play Fagin in Oliver! BRIAN has recorded three albums (one with the London Philharmonic Orchestra), starred in multiple films, was invited to be the 'special guest' on BOB HOPE'S last world tour and has appeared in over twenty of the UK's biggest pantomime productions. Most recently, BRIAN starred in SIR CAMERON MACKINTOSH'S Barnum which toured the UK for a year and will be playing one of his favourite characters, Buttons, together with LESLEY JOSEPH as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella over the Christmas period.
