Following the sell-out success of its premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013 and a UK tour in Spring 2014, Theatre Ad Infinitum's award-winning musical play Ballad of the Burning Star comes to the Studio Theatre from Wednesday 17 to Thursday 18 September.

It starts with a bomb and keeps on detonating....

Armed with music, killer heels and a lethal troop of divas, an enraged Israeli tells a story of victimhood, persecution, aggression and love. With shrapnel-sharp voices and moves as smooth as an oiled tank chain, this cabaret troop takes audiences on a journey into the heart of the conflicted Jewish State.

Inspired by his own experiences growing up in Israel, Co-Artistic Director of Theatre Ad Infinitum, Israeli-born Nir Paldi, brings this emotional and passionate political story to life with a breathtaking mix of daring and satirical cabaret, physical storytelling, original songs and live music.

Ballad of the Burning Star is on stage at the Studio Theatre from Wednesday 17 - Thursday 18 September. Tickets are priced £12.50 (concessions available) and can be purchased by calling the Box Office on 0114 249 6000 or by visiting sheffieldtheatres.co.uk (a transaction fee of £1.50 (£1.00 online) applies to all bookings made at the Box Office, excluding cash.)
