  3. The French Connection – Upper Canada Choristers present the Faure Requiem


The Upper Canada Choristers conducted by Laurie Evan Fraser perform French and French-inspired choral works with baritone Bradley Christensen as guest soloist, Cantemos Latin ensemble, pianist Hye Won (Cecilia) Lee, and a chamber orchestra. Featuring the transcendent Requiem by Gabriel Faure, Panis Angelicus (Bread of Angels) by Csar Franck, songs by Saint-Sans; French-inspired works from Brazil and Venezuela sung in Portuguese and Latin, and more. The program opens with Prayer for Ukraine (1885) by Mikola Lysenko. Covid Protocol: Proof of vaccinations is required. Masks must be worn in the venue. Everyone will also be subject to any other public health regulations in force at the time.
