RPG Productions is proud to present the Australian Premiere of BIG FISH 12 CHAIRS VERSION at Hayes Theatre Co from 18 April to 14 May 2017.

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH centres on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest... and then some! Edward's incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him - most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father's epic tales.

Overflowing with heart, humour and spectacular stagecraft, BIG FISH is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre - for an experience that's richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.

When BIG FISH was announced, Director Tyran Parke said "Big Fish promises to be magical. It features among others, a mermaid, a giant, a tribe of witches and a man shot out of a cannon and all will be achieved on the tiny Hayes Theatre stage. Rewritten since its original Broadway season and reconfigured into an ensemble production featuring twelve dazzling triple threats, the show balances magic and heart in equal measures."

You feel like you're watching something deep and powerful, sourced by a work of fine literature, propelled into awareness by a potent film and, most crucially of all, a story that makes us feel we can control, if not transcend, the story at the end of our lives. - Chicago Tribune

Director Tyran Parke along with Producers RPG have assembled an amazing creative team who will contribute to the reimagining of BIG FISH including Musical Director Luke Byrne (The Events, Hamlet at Belvoir St), Choreographer Cameron Mitchell (Heathers, Mack and Mabel at Hayes), Designer Anna Gardiner (Blood Brothers - Hayes, Henry V, Bell Shakespeare Company) Designer Martelle Hunt (Parade - Present Tense, When the Rain Stops Falling - New Theatre) and Lighting Designer Matt Tunchon (Songs for a New World- Hayes).

Casting is now underway and details will be announced shortly.
