The Notes from Home series at the Sheldon Concert Hall begins Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 7:30 pm with An Evening with Ben Nordstrom with musical director NeAl Richardson.

Ben is excited to return to the cabaret stage October 5 at the Sheldon. His show is an evening filled with laughs and a fun, upbeat, and surprising mix of pop and theatre music. The incomparable NeAl Richardson returns to music direct and to keep Ben from (mostly) embarrassing himself.

Ben Nordstrom is a St. Louis transplant who enjoys a busy life on and off the stage. His many stage credits include roles in musicals and plays, Off-Broadway and at regional theatres across the country: Chuck Baxter in Promises Promises, Hunter in [title of show], Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Baker in Into the Woods, Bobby Strong in Urinetown, Mozart in Amadeus, and Ren in Footloose. He is a multiple nominee for St. Louis' Kevin Kline Award, and was a recipient in 2006 for Footloose. Ben teaches private students and has an ongoing relationship with Villa Duchesne High School and the Stages Performing Arts Academy. Also a frequently requested cabaret performer in St. Louis, he holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Webster Conservatory and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and AFTRA. He lives in Ballwin with his beautiful wife, Kristen and their super-informative 6-year-old, Sam. Ben loves coaching Sam's soccer team and searching for great bottles of wine with Kristen.
