ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, 'VANYA AND SONIA', ROBIN HOOD and More Set for The Rep's 2014-2015 Season

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) has announced its 2014-2015 season of performances on the Mainstage, as well as the three productions to be performed by its Imaginary Theatre Company (ITC). The three productions to be included in the Studio Theatre season will be announced in July.

The Mainstage series opens at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, on September 10, 2014 with the inventive and outrageously funny award-winning comedy by Richard Bean, One Man, Two Guvnors.

Other productions in the Mainstage series, which continues through April 2015, include: A Midsummer Night's Dream, one of William Shakespeare's most well-known romances; Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash, a spirited musical featuring songs from one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century; Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, a new adaptation of the award-winning film exploring family, culture and love by Todd Kreidler; The Winslow Boy, a moving drama by Terence Rattigan and based on true events surrounding how far one man will go for justice; and the laugh-out-loud Christopher Durang comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play.

The Rep's Imaginary Theatre Company season of live, professional theatre for young audiences will include The Emperor's New Clothes, Bah! Humbug! and Robin Hood.

The Rep's 2014-2015 season subscription campaign is underway, with packages available for the Mainstage and Studio Theatre series. Subscription packages range in price from $93-$452 for six Mainstage shows and $99-$156 for three Studio Theatre shows. Parents can introduce their children to the wonder of live, professional theatre with special pricing that makes any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night a Family Night at The Rep! Young people (ages 10-18) can enjoy an entire Mainstage series of six plays for only $60 when purchased with a full-price adult subscription. Study Guides are available for free download from The Rep's website to enhance the theatre-going experience with before- and after-the-show activities.

In addition, selected matinee and evening Mainstage performances feature free, half-hour Post-Performance Discussions with the cast to discuss the play just performed; two evening performances in the final week of each Mainstage production are preceded by Pre-Performance Presentations to introduce the world of the show.

The Rep is also pleased to offer accessibility services for sight- or hearing-challenged audiences. The Browning Mainstage and Emerson Studio theatres at the Loretto-Hilton Center are equipped with FM assistive listening systems for patrons who are hard of hearing. Headsets are available FREE of charge at all performances. In addition, The Rep offers Open Captioning for the deaf or hard of hearing on the last Sunday matinee of each Mainstage production.
