The Dakota Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) at the Washington Pavilion is excited to present Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. for six performances on November 10-13. The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now one of the most exciting musicals ever to hit the stage.

The show's plot has Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. Tom tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs such as "Just a Bill," "Three is a Magic Number" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life.

This community youth production features 59 local young DAPA performers.
