We interviewed Mary Testa who will perform in Two River Theater's production of 'Pericles' from April 16th to May 8th. Testa spoke to us about her career, the show and working on the Red Bank stage.

Last night, 92Y celebrated songwriting legend Mike Stoller on the occasion of his 80th year with An 80th Birthday Celebration, a one-night-only Lyrics & Lyricists Special Event hosted by Paul Shaffer and directed and written by Randy Johnson (director/writer of A Night withJanis Joplin). Performers included: legendary vocal group The Coasters, along with artists Karen Akers,Mary Bridget Davies, Corky Hale, Maria Elena Infantino,Sally Kellerman, Bettye Lavette, Melissa Manchester, Billy Stritch, Tommy Tune and Steve Tyrell. Backed by Tyrell's band, the artists performed some of the greatest songs written by Stoller with his longtime lyricist partner Jerry Leiber and others. He's back! Taproot Theatre welcomes Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol back to its stage, after a sold out run in 2010. Seattle playwright and author, John Longenbaugh's clever mash-up of two classics is a moving mystery worthy of becoming a new family holiday tradition. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Scott Nolte, Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol opens on November 23 and runs through December 29 with a pay-what-you-can performance tomorrow night, November 21. For the first time ever, the musical Carrie has been preserved in a cast recording of the recent MCC Theater Off-Broadway revival. Just last night there was a special 'listening party' for the long awaited album, which officially comes out September 25, 2012 on Ghostlight Records. Set in 1930's, ENTER LAUGHING, The Musical tells the story of young, hapless David Kolowitz, a shop boy from the Bronx who pursues his dream of becoming a leading man on stage while facing mounting pressures from his despondent girlfriend, dismissive boss, distracted best friend, disgusted acting coach and disapproving parents.

ENTER LAUGHING, The Musical, the hilarious Broadway-bound production, is now in rehearsal at the New 42nd Street Studios. The first preview is August 9. A limited number of 'Pay What You Can' tickets will be available on that date after 2 pm at the Box Office. The show runs through September 4. The show features a book by the legendary Joseph Stein (Fiddler on the Roof, Zorba), music and lyrics by Stan Daniels ('The Mary Tyler Moore Show,' 'Taxi').

Donny and Marie Osmond bring their distinctive talents and undeniable charm to Toronto in DONNY & MARIE LIVE, directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. The limited run will play at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts this summer, July 5-17, 2011.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents its 6th annual First Look Repertory of New Work-three developmental productions of new plays presented in rotating repertory playing October 27 - November 14, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted St. The 2010 festival will also include three free readings by emerging playwrights presented November 5-7, 2010. Tickets for all productions and readings are currently available.

Actors Equity held a celebration for the 60th Anniversary of the Gypsy Robe on Monday night, October 25th at Sequoia on Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport where past gypsy robe winners came back to reminisce and to celebrate.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults continues its 2008-2009 season with Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, directed by Michael Patrick Thornton.
