Mary Shelley's Frankenstein began performances December 21st at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues) and opened last night, December 27th. BroadwayWorld attended the opening night celebrations and you can check out photos below!

Rehearsals began this week in Atlanta, GA, for the Alliance Theatre's production of ZORRO, a thrilling new musical. Zorro, 'the fox,' was created in 1919 by the writer Johnston McCulley for his serialized novel 'The Curse of Capistrano,' and went on to be immortalized in print, on film, in television and even video games. Now, the legendary character will appear in a swashbuckling new musical set to the thrilling flamenco sound of The Gipsy Kings. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek inside rehearsals for the show. Puppets and live performers enact an enigmatic tale of early World War II in 'King Executioner,' the newest creation of Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre written and directed by Vit Horejš. The play is loosely based on 'When you are a King, You will be an Executioner' ('A Jak Krolem a Jak Katem Bedzies,' 1968) by the Polish magical realist novelist Tadeusz Nowak (1930-1991). Today, we're featuring Patrick Wilson circa 2001. On stage, Wilson has appeared in Broadway's All My Sons, Barefoot in the Park, Something Good, Oklahoma!, Dreamgirls, The Full Monty and The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm. Off-Broadway he has taken the stage in Tenderloin, Bright Lights, Big City, and toured with the national cast of Carousel. Wilson has also appeared in a Minnesota production of Romeo and Juliet, as well as a New York production of Finian's Rinbow, a regional show Lucky in the Rain, and many more.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency is continuing its Spring 2012 season with the return engagement of award winning vocalist, Sheera Ben-David through May 19, 2012.

Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and 2007 and 2010 OBIE Awards, has announced that its acclaimed production of Hello Again, words and music by Michael John LaChiusa (suggested by the play La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzler), and directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (two-time Drama Desk Award nominee for Outstanding Director for TG's The Audience and The Boys in the Band), will close April 10, at 52 Mercer Street.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) continues its 2008/2009 Season with the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Remedial English for the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company. Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago, New Jerusalem), in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production will began previews on Friday, February 6, 2009 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 3 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, March 15 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
