The acclaimed puppet dance theatre company Loco7 will debut their newest work when La MaMa (66 E. 4 St.) presents the world-premiere of the family show DON QUIXOTE TAKES NEW YORK, as part of the La MaMa Kids series with performances beginning April 21, as it has been announced by Mia Yoo, La MaMa's artistic director.

Midsommer Flight, a professional not-for-profit theatre company that was one of five Finalists for this year's League of Chicago Theatres Emerging Theatre Award, is staging Shakespeare's Twelfth Night for the third consecutive holiday season, complete with its acclaimed musical score. The comedy is being performed in the Show House room at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Drive, for three weekends - from November 30 December 17, 2017. The production is part of Mayor Rahm Emanuel's Night Out in the Parks initiative that provides world-class performances in Chicago's neighborhood parks throughout the year.

The Edinburgh International Festival opened last night with The Harmonium Project, a free outdoor animated performance that lit up the city's key concert hall, to celebrate 50 years of the Edinburgh Festival Chorus. Approximately 19,500 watched a series of projected artworks, designed by 59 Productions, on the Usher Hall whilst listening to John Adams' mesmerising choral work Harmonium.
