The acclaimed puppet dance theatre company Loco7 will debut their newest work when La MaMa (66 E. 4 St.) presents the world-premiere of the family show DON QUIXOTE TAKES NEW YORK, as part of the La MaMa Kids series with performances beginning April 21, as it has been announced by Mia Yoo, La MaMa's artistic director.

Midsommer Flight, a professional not-for-profit theatre company that was one of five Finalists for this year's League of Chicago Theatres Emerging Theatre Award, is staging Shakespeare's Twelfth Night for the third consecutive holiday season, complete with its acclaimed musical score. The comedy is being performed in the Show House room at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Drive, for three weekends - from November 30 December 17, 2017. The production is part of Mayor Rahm Emanuel's Night Out in the Parks initiative that provides world-class performances in Chicago's neighborhood parks throughout the year.

Lookingglass Theatre Company concludes its 29th Season with its award-winning production of Moby Dick, adapted and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin, from the book by Herman Melville, in association with The Actors Gymnasium. Moby Dick runs June 7 - September 3, 2017 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The Press Opening is Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents a world premiere adaptation of Jean Anouilh's ANTIGONE, translated and directed by ANW Resident Artist Robertson Dean, playing now through November 20, 2015 (opens on September 26). The Edinburgh International Festival opened last night with The Harmonium Project, a free outdoor animated performance that lit up the city's key concert hall, to celebrate 50 years of the Edinburgh Festival Chorus. Approximately 19,500 watched a series of projected artworks, designed by 59 Productions, on the Usher Hall whilst listening to John Adams' mesmerising choral work Harmonium. Based on Mark Twain's classic Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Children's Theatre Company (CTC) will present Greg Banks' adaptation of Huck Finn, now through April 4, 2015. Banks, whose CTC credits include Pinocchio, Robin Hood, Antigone, Romeo and Juliet and more, will direct, with music composed by Victor Zupanc, set by Joseph Stanley, costumes by Mary Anna Culligan and lighting design by Paul Whitaker. Mark Strong leads the cast as Eddie Carbone in the West End transfer of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge. Ivo Van Hove's five star Young Vic production plays at the Wyndham's Theatre for a strictly limited eight week season to 11 April 2015. Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, A View from the Bridge opened at the Young Vic in April last year where the production enjoyed an extended sell-out run.

Signature Theatre's U.S. Premiere of A PARTICLE OF DREAD(OEDIPUS VARIATIONS) by Sam Shepard, directed by Nancy Meckler opened last night at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. The production will now play through Sunday, January 4, 2015.
