Aurora's Paramount Theatre - Chicago's most decorated theater at the 2017 Jeff Awards with the second largest subscriber base in the nation - is excited to present the first Chicago-area regional staging of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Once to close its 2017-18 Broadway Series.
As One Arm by Tennessee Williams adapted for the stage by Moisés Kaufman opens at Southwark Playhouse this week, BroadwayWorld speak to the director, Josh Seymour, around the final rehearsals for the play ahead of its UK premiere. Theater for the New City (TNC) has announced that Squealer, a new play by Jonathan Blitstein and directed by Daniel Talbott, will open on Thursday May 5th at 8pm at Theater for the New City - 155 First Avenue, between 9th and 10th Streets.

Following the sold out performances and overflow crowds at its first two Cino Nights presentations (of Gary Sunshine's BEST SEX EVER and Mando Alvarado's (O)N THE 5:31), Rising Phoenix Rep continued the series November 7th with Courtney Baron's HERE I LIE which was performed by Denis Butkus and Samantha Soule to a sold out house. In this two-character play, 'Maris and Joseph have made their beds and now have to lie in them. Two people connected by illness, loneliness, and the need to be understood, they navigate the murky waters of subjective truth. If you believe it, can you make it true?' The production was directed by Rising Phoenix Rep artistic director Daniel Talbott.
