Baggage - 2012 - West End History , Info & More

Latter-day likely lads collide head on with the powerful world of internet dating. It's the online quest for that solitary Prada in a sea of Primark.

BAGGAGE is the story of two close friends, reunited at a funeral, hoping to repair their damaged relationship. Flashback to Primrose Hill and Lima airport in 2007... and enjoy their internet dating rollercoaster.

Can old friends re-connect and true love prevail, or is it just too late?

Internet Dating. Add to basket and then checkout - or carry on shopping?

Baggage is collaboration by two old college friends (Writers John Muirhead and Mike Charlesworth), about two old college friends who are re-united and struggle with the on line dating world. The original idea and commitment for Baggage as project was borne in a pub. That pub, The Lansdowne in Primrose Hill remains a central part of the play as does Primrose Hill and many other facets of Mike and John’s life ten years ago. The content draws to some extent on personal experience, but is largely the result of considerable research with people who have used the dating sites and offered up stories, many of which are unprintable and implausible!! It has long been the idea of John and Mike, that on line dating is so much part of our lives today and so dramatic that a play, book, film are all well over due.
