Yesterday, January 31, the eve of the 10(th) National Wear Red Day, Go Red For Womenis hosting a lighting ceremony at Macy's Herald Square in New York City - the first iconic building to turn red. Macy's is a founding national sponsor of Go Red For Women and has raised $40 million to support the cause since 2004. Star Jones, the American Heart Association's national volunteer, invited New Yorkers to kick off National Wear Red Day at Macy's with some of Broadway's hottest talents includingJudy Kaye from Nice Work If You Can Get It and performances from Motown's Valisia LeKae andthe cast of STOMP!
STOMP, the international sensation, is making its triumphant return to The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. STOMP is part of the Broadway in Miami 2012-2013 subscription season presented by Bank of America. The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured and the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.
Multi-talented actress, singer, television host, playwright, songwriter and author Kathie Lee Gifford hosted this year's Broadway on Broadway yesterday morning, Sunday, September 9th, presented by United Airlines and The New York Times. The event kicked off the 2012-2013 Broadway season with star performances from new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 30-piece live orchestra directed by Alex Lacamoire. The best of Broadway will be presented FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with "106.7 Lite FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2012" - a lunchtime series beginning today, July 12 at 12:30 p.m. on the Bryant Park Stage. Sponsored by Resorts World Casino New York City and hosted by Lite FM's on-air personalities, the twelfth annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through August 16.

Longtime cast members of the dance, percussion, and visual comedy show STOMP Angus H. Little, Melanie Joseph, Johannes Bohun, Nigel Clarke, Mikey Lantis, and Andy Pang enthusiastically promoted their show and wowed the crowd at Greenbelt 3, Trinoma, and Glorietta malls last weekend. STOMP's currently playing for a limited run at the Cultural Center of the Philippines until Sunday, October 23.

Lortel Statues for 14 categories and 2 special awards were handed out by celebrity presenters at the 2010 Lucille Lortel Awards at a live awards ceremony last night, May 2, at Terminal 5. Hosted by the Off-Broadway League, the live show was co-hosted by Bryan Batt and Bebe Neuwirth and featured performances by Alan Menken, STOMP, Seth Rudetsky, Edward Watts of The Fanasticks and LaChanze. BroadwayWorld was backstage at the ceremony to capture the evening's award-winners and ceremony participants!
