Set on the notorious Robben Island (the infamous place that held Nelson Mandela) during apartheid The Island offers a glimpse into the lives of two inmates- John and Winston who face impossibly long stretches of time under the unspeakably harsh regime.

In JACK LEMMON RETURNS, the legendary actor's son Chris takes the audience through highlights of his father's career. There is, of course, lots of laughter but also poignant moments about the elder Lemmon's total preoccupation with his career, to the detriment of his satellite family's relationship with him.
Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. The 40th Anniversary production and first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's landmark rock musical GODSPELL is now in preview performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway at 50th Street). Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific), Opening Night is Monday, November 7 (7 p.m.).
