Live theatre is officially back and Concord Theatricals is celebrating! 'There's No Business Like Show Business' is a digital celebration that launched just last month, marking the return of live theater and all of the incredible people who help to make it happen. The celebration coincides with the 75th anniversary of Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun and its iconic showstopper 'There's No Business Like Show Business,' a song that has more resonance than ever this year.

Opera Theatre Saint Louis continues its refreshing festival season with a revival of the rarely seen Highway 1, U.S.A. by William Grant Still, the 'dean of African-American composers'.

Director Linda Fortunato has cast Neil Friedman as Kris Kringle, Stella Rose Hoyt as Susan, Courtney Jones as Doris and Christopher Kale Jones as Fred for Theatre at the Center's Miracle On 34th Street: The Musical. Previews began November 15 with Opening Night on November 18 and a continued run through December 23. This production is sponsored in part by American Community Bank.

Starting November 10, Theresa Cunningham gets to channel the pioneering songstress and make her Arena Stage debut with the East Coast premiere of Nina Simone: Four Women. Before there was Bono or John Lennon, there was Nina Simone and Christina Ham's new play follows her transformation from artist, to artist and activist.

The great genius of contemporary musical theater, creator of Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Company, Stephen Sondheim leads audiences on a tuneful revue of presidential assassins and would-be killers from John Wilkes Booth to John Hinckley. The performance is guided by the Proprietor (brilliantly portrayed by Will Shure) who takes you through a most unusual musical history lesson in the form of a carnival game called "Shoot the Prez - Win a Prize" during which the sounds of each era accompany riveting portrayals of history's most impassioned and deranged. Thought-provoking and darkly delightful, ASSASSINS won five Tony Awards in its first revival on Broadway and remains one of the most controversial Broadway musicals ever written.

Olathe Civic Theatre Association (OCTA) continues its 2015-16 season with DOGFIGHT, with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, book by Peter Duchan, and based on the Warner Bros. film and screenplay by Bob Comfort. The show is directed by Craig Fisher and runs tomorrow, February 19, through March 6, 2016. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

ALWAYS... PATSY CLINE, created and originally directed by Ted Swindley - based on a true story, is directed byAmiee Turner with musical direction by Ken Lundie at Westchester Broadway Theatre now through February 28, 2016. Christopher Tierney recently assumed the iconic role of Johnny Castle tonight in the North American tour of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage in Chicago, where it ran through August 30. This marks the launch of the second year of the hugely successful national tour which will go on to play markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Nashville, Des Moines and Denver this season. Columbus Children's Theatre (CCT) celebrated 50 years of live theatre on Sunday, September 22, 2013 with an incredible lineup of accomplished alumni, along with current casts, board members, and other featured guests. Performing were Josh Radnor of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Jessica Grove, Mike Milligan, Steve Boyer, Kristin Reitter, Valerie Accetta, Dionysia Williams, Camille Mancuso, Cherish Myers, Ryan Scarlata, Molly Camp, Jake Borelli, and the current casts of THE LITTLE MERMAID JR and SHREK THE MUSICAL.

Tonight's the night: The brain trust behind The Nutty Professor, The New Musical will officially roll out the red carpet for the new musical's opening night at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's James K. Polk Theatre. Directed by "the king of comedy" himself, Jerry Lewis, upon whose classic 1963 film comedy the brand new musical is based upon, The Nutty Professor company has already delivered a week of preview performances, garnering rave reviews from audience members. The Guthrie Theater welcomes Penumbra Theatre Company's acclaimed production of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson's gripping drama Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, directed by Penumbra artistic director Lou Bellamy.
